Obvious Thinking

A small gathering of intelligent bodies
sat together in a convention call
staring at a banner that said
"The 1st Gathering of Obvious Thinkers."
The president addressed the guest of honor,
"Would you like to speak?"
"I would only speak if I had something to say,"
the guest replied.
Half the heads nodded.
"That is true," they said.
"That is a fact," the other half said.

One little boy sat in the corner
next to a sign reading "Not a table."
As he approached the podium, everyone went quiet.
"But do you have something to say?"
he asked the guest of honor.
Someone cried out "No body knows that!
Obviously!"
The boy replied "But he does!"
The crowd gasped, and one man fainted.
"Is that obvious to you?" the president asked.
"Only one thing is obvious to me," the boy replied.
"My brain is almost as big as a human head."
Everyone smiled, and the ushers brought out a table
for the boy to sit at.
Alone, obviously.
