A Rogue Feeling

Look but don't touch
To touch is forbidden
Don't ask for so much
Keep my heart ever hidden
To touch is to die
To touch is to kill
She touches not I
Never can, never will.
She longs for the lips
Having known not the pleasure
If her guard ever slips
What you get is no treasure
But a poison of birth
Flowing ever in her veins.
But to share in her mirth
Without the damage and pain
Is a lust ever prudent
Left to wallow and waste,
For Xavier's gentle student
Is god among the chaste.
She knows not the feeling
Of my hands upon hers
While my heart she is stealing
Without intent, without words.
She will not know the power
Of raising her kin
Nor the loss of the flower
In immaculate sin
Nor an eskimo kiss,
Nor a friendly hi-five
For an act such as this
Leaves no lover alive.
So I sit and I yearn
From a world apart
For her love to return
From her untouchable heart.
