I looked out my bedroom window just in time to see a nuclear bomb explode a few miles away. It's war. It's so scary! After the shaking passes, most of the city west of my house is under water. 2 reasons I believe I'm dreaming:
1)It didn't hurt my eyes to look directly at the blast.
2)The piles of rubble that used to be Ballard were too neatly piled and evenly spaced.
One of the first things we do is look for my Uncle Tim's hosue in Ballard; it's been completely destroyed, and I cry. What are we to do? We think about driving east, but some of the roads are under water. My cousins Erin and Carrie start fighting harder than they ever have before. I had to tie Erin up with a spare phone cord to break up the fight. I keep expecting to wake up, but the dream seems so real. In a little while the water levels lower slightly. I search the house for food and bottled water we can live off of, and take with us if we leave. Erin's other cousins come over, whom I've never met. By that time it's getting dark, so the other houses in the neighborhood turn on their lights. They are covered in christmas lights. My cats begin fight. Finally I wake up, relieved.
