Autographs!

Here is a display of my complete collection of autographs from people involved in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I'm very very proud of it.

Sean Astin (Sam Gamgee, my favorite person on earth), signing is book "There And Back Again: An Actor's Tale" at Seattle Town Hall in Dec, 2004.

Sean Astin, on a Samwise page in the "Return of the King Visual Companion", at the same event as the previous.

The next 4 autographs are all be Alan Lee, and a booksigning/slideshow at the U Bookstore, one day after the Sean Astin signing.

In "The Lord of the Rings Complete Visual Companion"

In "The Art of The Lord of the Rings"

On a poster of a painting of Helm's Deep

On a poster of a painting of The Black Gate

Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf). At the Seattle AIDS Walk, September 2002. On FotR theatrical DVD movie disk.

Brad Dourif (Grima Wormtongue). At RingCon in Gig Harbor, February 2003. Pic drawn by me.

Same as above. Got this one for a friend.

Craig Parker (Haldir), Bruce Hopkins (Gamling), and Jørn Benzon (Rúmil). At RingCon in Tacoma, October 2003. In The Two Towers Visual Companion.

Craig Parker. At RingCon in Tacoma. I found this photoshopped picture on the internet, and he signed it.

My friend Linda brought my 'The Making of the Trilogy" book to ComicCon in 2003 and got it singed. Ben Hawker (WETA sculpter); Daniel Falconer (WETA: maker of Treebeard); Richard Taylor (head of WETA); and Sala Baker (Sauron), and Greg Tozer (WETA weapon & armory). The other one I can't read, and Linda doesn't remember the name.

SEAN ASTIN (Sam)!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, he's my favorite. Got this at Autographed To You.com. Got slightly bent in the mail, but still worth every penny.

Andy Serkis (Gollum). He came to the UW to promote and sign his new book: "Gollum: How we made movie magic".

John Rhys-Davies (Gimli/Treebeard). He came to Seattle Town Hall with the Discovery institute to talk politics and LotR. Drew the pic myself.

Jed Brophy (Sharkû/Snaga); Lawrence Makaore (Witchking/Gothmog/Lurtz). At RingCon in SeaTac, March 2004. In Return of the King Visual Companion. Funny story here about what Jed wrote.

Greg Tozer (WETA), and Jasmine Watson (designed all the jewelry in the movie). They were guests of honor at TolCon, May 2004. Signed my "Weapons & Warfare" book, and awesome book I reccomend mucho-ly.
Later, at TolCon 2005, Peter Lyon (WETA designer of the "hero" swords in the movies) signed the same page. Says "Hi Casey, loved the costumes, especially Sauron. Peter Lyon.

Howard Shore (Music composer/conductor), in the program gotten at the Lord of the Rings Symphony at Benaroya Hall, Seattle. Also signed by my friends Rachel Hosick, and Tiffany Wirt, who sang in the chorus.

Jed Brophy, on the box for Lord of the Rings Risk. He played a Nazgul and an Orc (Sharku), both of which appear on the box, so he signed it twice.

Again, Jed Brophy, this time on a Sharku w/Warg action figure set by Toy Biz. Both the action figure and Risk game were purchased at a RingCon fundraising auction.

Bruce Hopkins (Gamling), with me. Says:
"Da Boys! Me & Casey Hangin' in red. Love & Repspect, Bruce Hopkins 'Gamling'"
BTW, in case you're wondering, we're snapping in this picture. That's what our hands are doing.

A Gamling action figure signed by Bruce. He put a "II" on it, because it's the worlds second autographed Gamling figure. He did the first shortly before mine.

A "Cirith Ungol Uruk-hai" action figure, signed by Peter Tait. Peter played Shagrat, the only notable Uruk-hai from Cirith Ungol. Ergo Shagrat.

Royd Tolkien, as a Gondorian ranger. Look for his cameo right before the battle starts in Osgiliath. Royd is J.R.R. Tolkien's great-grandson.

Peter Tait made a really funny short film called "Bogans", about him and some other blue-collar slobs trying to get into the LotR movies. Signed by himself and Ian Hughes (who ended up playing Irolas).

Greg Wright, in his book "Tolkien in Perspective: Sifting the Gold from the Glitter". It says "For Casey-- and the poems within us all"

Peter Beagle, in his book "The Last Unicorn". He also wrote the screenplay to the Bakshi "Lord of the Rings" movie.

Jeanine Renne, in her book "When a Fan Hits the Shit", about the insanity of the Tentmoot fiasco and the people responsible.

Bruce Hopkins has a chapter in the aforementioned book, and he signed the picture of him in it.
The last 9 were all from RingCon, Oct 2004.

Kiran Shah, scale double of all 5 Hobbits in the movie, at TolCon 2005, "To Casey with love and happiness" in a book of poetry featuring himself.

Ted Nasmith is a well known Tolkien artist, who illustrated an edition of The Silmarillion. Here he signs in it "To Casey, very best wishes, Ted Nasmith (date)" at TolCon 2005.

Alan Lee, on the page of my fav painting of his (The Entrance to Moria), in "Tolkien's World; Paintings of Middle Earth". Gotten at the University Bookstore on Halloween 2005.

And some non-LotR autographs!

Terry Jones (Monty Python) and Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). They were in town promoting Starship Titanic, and my bother had them sign a postcard for me.

Heather Alexander. She's a local singer/songwriter who performs original Scottish and Celtic rock songs and many events. She's awesome, which is to be expected for she is a redhead. This is the inside cover of her album "Life's Flame".

Heather Alexander's album Festival Wind.

Heather Alexander's totally rockin' album Uffington Horse Enchantment.

Heather Alexander's earlier album Wanderlust.

Midsummer, the first Heather Alexander album I ever bought.

The Futuristic Sex Robots, a Nerdcore Hip-Hop band. They have a song for Snakes on a Plane. Got them all to sign my Snakes on a Plane movie stub at my first ever Nerdcore concert August 27 '06 at the Shark Club in Kirkland.

Ultraklystron, another (rather skilled) Nerdcore rapper, on his new album Romance Language. I got it at it's release party AKA the Northwest Nerdcore show in Seattle on Feb 14th '07 AKA Valentine's Day AKA Ultraklystron Day (we renamed it).
